TIMELESS DESIGN AND PERSONALIZED FLAIR
Just a block and a half away from the ocean, the owners came to us with a ‘California Coastal’ design for this 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home. The home was designed by renowned Jacksonville architect William Leuthold. Another well-respected Jacksonville professional, Lisa Gielincki Interior Design, collaborated with the owners to create a home that exquisitely melds coastal elements with personalized touches. We worked closely with Lisa to create some of the owners’ specific requests.
The home caters to its hobby artist owner’s artistic flair, with a dedicated studio for her to work on her oil paintings. Other unique elements include a wine cellar space under the stairs, custom details like specially-sized moldings and cabinetry, a loft with a window seat, a dog wash in the laundry room, and a locally crafted wrought iron stair railing.
We also designed the outdoor area. There wasn’t a lot of space on the lot, so we needed to use the available space wisely. We built a firepit and added pavers with grass in between to maintain a green lawn.
The kitchen is one of our most liked pictures on Houzz, showing that a traditional look never goes out of style. Check out the precast concrete kitchen hood—it weighs about 500 pounds and we had to specially engineer the wall to support it.
